Please Note: This is a small hotel with a limited number of rooms. If you would like a specific room category i.e. oceanfront please reserve your room ASAP. Being that the resort is located right in town and many guests will be venturing outside of the resort for meals/ drinks we are offering two types of rates. All-Inclusive and a Half Board option. 

*Note if you would like to book the half board option you will need to contact Kerri. Her information can be found under the travel section 

The Half Board option includes breakfast daily as well as lunch OR dinner. Beverages and other meals can be charged to your room and paid at check out. Calvin and I chose this option when we visited in September. We also went into town and bought our own booze to make drinks in our room. Accommodations at Mahekal Beach Resort provide a tranquil escape for mind and body. Our palapa-style bungalows and beach houses showcase Mayan-inspired architecture, with thatched roofs, traditional materials, and local decor, while the surrounding gardens and greenery make you feel one with nature. Staying here, you’ll enjoy a carefree, unplugged escape — rooms do not feature TVs, though Wi-Fi is provided at no cost in case you need help staying connected.


*Some room categories may not include a mini fridge, however if you would like one we have them available at no cost for our guests. Just mention it at check-in : )

*It is important that all guests book in Kelsey & Calvin's room block to ensure their attendance to the wedding event. If you find a rate elsewhere (Expedia, Orbitz etc.) that appears lower than the rates found in Kelsey & Calvin's link, please contact Kerri directly @ kerri@foreverusweddings.com prior to booking elsewhere to confirm the rate is legitimate. It is not uncommon for errors to exist on these booking platforms.

The location of The Mahekal was one of the main reasons we chose this resort. We didn't want guests to feel confined to the resort. There is plenty of exploring to do. 5th Ave is about a 5 minute walk from the resort and full of nightlife and shopping. Or hop on the ferry over to Cozumel for a day of diving or scootering around the island. If you don't want to wander to far 38th is known for it's amazing restaurants and jungley vibe. Everything you will need is within walking distance.
